All you need to know about HANA DR setup

In this article, we ll discuss and demonstrate the steps required to setup Replication on HANA System, while the native SAP Solution is not fully automatic, you would need some 3rd party tools to automate this solution, if you are looking for technical support of configuration of your HANA System, please reach us at sales@cognatrixit.com

HA Vs DR.

HA usually is referred while the secondary system is in the same data center as primary,

What kind of Solutions are possible in DR?

a. DR Can be achieved either by using the solutions provided by hardware vendor

b. It can be achieved via SAP HANA DB Method (Without 3rd party tools)

c. It can be also mixed with SAP HANA DB Method along with 3rd Party Tools.

Problem of using the HANA DB Method to achieve DR without 3rd Party solution is the fail over and fail back are not automatic
